About Us
Who We Are
Vereniging Pink Peril is a volunteer-led, non-profit roller derby association based in Limburg, the Netherlands. Founded in June 2011 by skater Veggie Vera, Pink Perl was formally established as an association in October 2011. We develop and promote flat-track roller derby while building an inclusive community around the sport.
Pink Peril is registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK 53752546) as a vereniging met volledige rechtsbevoegdheid.
Our association is governed by a volunteer board consisting of a president, secretary and treasurer. The wider organization is run by volunteers, with members contributing to training, coaching, officiating, events, administration, communication and other club activities.
Our Mission
Our mission is to develop and promote flat-track roller derby while providing an inclusive and supportive environment in which people can develop through sport, teamwork and community.
We welcome people of different backgrounds, experience levels, body types and gender identities. Our community is based on respect, equality, tolerance and non-discrimination.
WHat we do
- Regular roller derby training for our members in Heerlen and Maastricht.
- Fresh Meat beginner programs, held twice a year. Each program lasts approximately 12 weeks with two training sessions per week and is designed for people with little or no previous skating or roller derby experience.
- Try-out and introduction sessions for people who want to discover the sport.
- Games and scrimmages against other roller derby teams in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium.
- Community and team activities, including social gatherings and themed training.
- Public relations, social media, and outreach to introduce new people to roller derby and communicate our activities.
Our current competition team has approximately 20 skaters. Because Pink Peril is an adult volunteer sports association, membership changes over time, and our activities depend on the availability of members, trainers and volunteers.
Current Projects
Pink Peril is currently working on three main areas of development:
Growing the league: We run two Fresh Meat programs each year and actively recruit new skaters, officials and volunteers.
Expanding to Maastricht: Since September 2026, we train once a week at Sporthal Belfort in Maastricht while continuing our Friday training in Heerlen.
Developing a children’s team: In September 2026, Pink Peril received subsidy funding to establish a children’s roller derby program. We are currently developing the program and its name, with the aim of starting the team in the coming months.

Pink Peril’s official registered address is a private residential address belonging to a board member and is therefore not published publicly. It is registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce and can be provided to authorized institutions when required. Our public training and activity locations are listed above.
